Patrick also appeared in something called DIONYSUS directed by Brian De Palma, a filmed stage play featuring members of The Performance Group, an NYC experimental theater ensemble. Perhaps this association landed Patrick his JOE gig.
And to note, this is not the same Patrick McDermott that Olivia Newton-John dated until he vanished into thin air. Although sadly, this Patrick also vanished... from the screen... a damn shame since he did a fantastic job in two amazing films.

Obviously Amazon thinks highly of Patrick McDermott's part in The French Connection |
so sad because he it's a good actor
ReplyDeleteyeah he was. wish he was in more.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made this page. I've always been impressed by his performance in The French Connection, doing very much with very little. He commands both of his only two scenes as Howard The Chemist, where moneyed big shots anxiously await his subtle smile and nod of approval before approving the deal.
