PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4

year: 2012 cast: Kathryn Newton, Stephen Dunham rating: *1/2
If a falling chandelier seems scary, this fourth installment of the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise is right up your alley. Only there’s very little activity – not even after a quiet (demon possessed) kid named Wyatt, staying at the house across the street because his mother took ill, warns two teens about an impending wraith.

The main character is Alex, a pretty blond girl who, with her jovially jokey boyfriend, decides to film everything via laptops because their guest just ain't normal. The video taping kids are a lot more curious than frightened, investigating footage like junior detectives, finding little in the process save mysterious silhouettes and eerie noises.

It’s only when Wyatt’s fitfully creepy “mother” comes around does something finally happen, but not for long. At the blink of an eye – the movie's over. Then you'll hear moans and groans: The loudest reaction from an audience once prepared to scream.
