THE BLUE LAGOON
1980 ** |
Then, when our Swiss Family Adam and Eve have a baby, things really wane. But despite the flaws and cornball dialogue, you'll be drawn in, somehow: if not for curiosity's sake.

Oh man, an old, well not really classic, but at the time a definite must see, if for anything to 'see' Brooke naked, although not her, allegedly. Ah the good old days in the movie theaters. I haven't seen this movie in 30 years (after seeing it in the movie theater I probably saw it once on cable) but the only thing I really remember was when - was it their uncle or father or brother - one of their relatives found the island but they were all covered in mud and holding the baby so the relative figured it was islanders and took off.
ReplyDeleteWasn't the end where they rowed out to sea and a great white shark chewed through their boat and ate them? Different movie?
Seriously though the only reason I went to see this movie in the movie theater at the age of 12 years old, whether it was Brooke Shields or her body double, was thinking about seeing Brooke in the nudie. Even if it wasn't her you got to see Brooke Shields prounce around a tropical island showing lots of skin. Why else would anyone want to see this movie?
Classic review.
