Robert Downey Jr. in h is father's classic catastrophe MAD MAGAZINE'S UP THE ACADEMY |
Before
he was one of the biggest actors on earth, ROBERT DOWNEY JR. was a
young man whose father, director Robert Downey Sr., after being an
underground filmmaker with cult flicks like GREASER'S PALACE, directed
MAD MAGAZINE'S attempt to outdo NATIONAL LAMPOON by making their own
ANIMAL HOUSE with UP THE ACADEMY, a low budget comedy centering on a
group of misfit military school students.
The movie bombed but is, for
fans of the genre, a guilty pleasure: and here the director's son reacts
to villainous drill sergeant Ron Leibman giving a pep talk during a
soccer match.
